Two Great Things

Well, I'm on this little road trip to my Happy Place, and I start to think that there are 2 great things that were got for Christmas last year...The GPS and the IPOD player for the car. We always had used the Microsoft Streets and Tips with this GPS thing that plugged into the laptop, which is great cause you can plan out the whole trip and it will tell you time and cost and all that. The thing is...it's bulky with the laptop, and if you're the one driving, the person holding it may mess something up and you can't fix it easy. Plus, if you're the one holding it, that gets tiring and leaves you not much else to do. This GPS that just sticks to the windshield is awesome...yes, I have to plug in the next destination one at a time, but it's been fine. It is small, handy, and yells at you when you need to be aware of a change. It's so much more portable than the laptop thing...I can just whip it out in the car and hide it again.

That other great thing--the IPOD player--it's one that you plug into the cigarette lighter and search for channels with no station, matching them up. Your IPOD is plugged in, and its just great! How I hate being on the road and not finding a descent station...there always seems to be a ton of country and oldies (and I mean "way, way" oldies) out on the road. But it's just distracting to driving to have to sit there hitting the search button. So, Brittany and I took turns with our IPODs...yeah, I had to listen to a lot of JoBros, and she had to listen to a lot of D2...amongst other songs that she thought were not so great--ABC's "Be Near Me"...

So, I had to share what awesome gifts those turned out to be! and the 3rd great thing would be the DVD players that strap to the headrests--Austin just loves it--and he uses his headphones; so, that' s great for me too!

Los Tios with Drive-Thru...

When we were eating at Los Tios on the 1st, there was a sign talking about them having drive-thru on 12/15/08...looking at the pictures, it was a bit of a joke about an accident...and why there was a bunch of plywood covering up a wall...click here

Favorite Candy

I love Fun Dip...and Reese's...anything chocolate and peanut butter together. I like M and M's, but not the plain ones...love Peanut, Peanut Butter, and Mint. I love Cherry Cordial Kisses...other creamy ones are good too. I like these small Chewy Sweettarts... I also like Nerds and Bottle Caps. What else is awesome? Flavored sugar in a big plastic straw--you can make your own at all kinds of places at Disney...seen them at other places too. So, what's YOUR favorite candy? Leave a comment...

Anxiety Attacks

I don't know why have been prone to getting these...but it will just come up on me...feels like I'm getting sick to my stomach, heart-races, and I feel soooo out of sorts...I think it is the idea that Christmas Eve is tomorrow! I get stressed thinking that I spent too much money at once... I'll get like this when I'm about to drive on a long trip, fly in an airplane or things are just all out of normal...sometimes I don't know why... Anyways, I hate it! Now, I'm going to go take some deep breaths and try to get my house in order, do some wrapping and lessen the stress... :0

A Bit Lazy

Here I am on a Monday...being lazy...oh well! I have started laundry from the vacation to Disney World. I am also going through all my on-line stuff--lots of blogging, updating on the Family Website, myspace, facebook, etc. I have showered and changed, and now I am off to get lunch. I have a bit of shopping to do...mostly for the stockings and some on-line gift card purchases. I have something to ship to Ohio--but it will wait until after Christmas... Okay, just thought you should know...I'll do some cleaning later too!

Spinning, Spinning Head

This is just a hectic week...who's idea was it to have Bunco here and then leave the next day for Disney. I still have to pack...which also means packing for the kids too. We have some schoolwork to do. I did get the garland and lights around stair rails, but now I need to sweep and vacuum and all. I have done real good on getting shopping for the kids done. Nick and I have worked great together on that. I just need to deal with stockings...for all 4 of us! But that can wait until we get back. I have to clean my kitchen and all for Bunco, but at least I got all the food. I took Austin and Nathan and Jered with me this morning to the Party Store, Babies R Us (to get a gift for Brenda for the shower I'm missing come Sunday), and to Randall's. I was good and got them Jack in the Box to eat while in the store. The real worry for me though is getting my Christmas cards all addressed and sent out before I leave. So, I have to keep telling myself it will get done, and I need to take some breaks...like I am now. Just deep breaths!!!
